Purpose:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing complex tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing strategic tax advice to clients or the organization. Here are some of their key responsibilities: tax preparation and review, tax compliance, tax planning and advisory, audit and interaction with tax authorities, and mentorship and training.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and implement new policies and procedures as needed.
- Advise clients on tax consequences of business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
- Identify potential tax savings and recommend strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Interact with tax authorities and handle tax audits and inquiries.
- Support tax and financial audits at both global and local levels.
- Train and mentor junior tax accountants and review their work for accuracy.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation
$55,000 - $65,000
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
5 years of experience in tax accounting.
Experience in managing tax-related projects and teams.
Knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Ability to analyze financial data and identify tax savings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy in preparing tax documents.
Accredited Tax Preparer certification (ATP)-ACAT
