Job Description
BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You'll Be Doing:
Act in a fiduciary capacity in the oversight & implementation of all work responsibilities.
Ensure that the BWC trust funds are administered in accordance with the BWC Investment Policy Statement.
Responsible for the oversight, implementation, monitoring, and invoice processing of BWC Real Estate portfolio.
Responsible for the due diligence on the current BWC roster of real estate managers.
Recommend to the BWC CIO potential changes to the BWC Real Estate portfolio and/or individual manager roster as needed.
Monitor existing Real Estate managers' compliance with their respective investment guideline and recommend actions to BWC CIO for potential compliance issues as necessary.
Review independent consultant performance reports to help monitor investment manager performance.
Analyze real estate portfolio and individual manager performance attribution.
Periodically meet with members of BWC's roster of real estate investment managers via calls and in person and record due diligence notes within BWC's file system.

Qualifications
To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:
Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; AND Requires 10 plus years of experience in the investment management industry.
MAJOR WORK CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge: Institutional investment management industry, process, and implementation, including investment manager due diligence; Fixed income investment management acumen, strategies, characteristics, attribution, benchmarks, etc; Institutional product structures (separate accounts, commingled investment trusts, limited partnerships, institutional mutual funds), including open-end and closed-end private debt structures.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Project management; Attention to detail; Effective time management and organizational skills; Communicate effectively though verbal and written communications; Strong work ethic Bloomberg familiarity.
Abilities: Conduct investment manager due diligence; Analyze and understand investment manager performance, risk and investment related financial ratios; Work collaboratively within a team structure and autonomously when necessary Gather, organize, and classify information into memos and presentations, Travel as appropriate.
