We are seeking an experienced Divisional Controller to oversee all accounting and finance functions for a key business unit within a growing construction organization. This position will serve as the financial leader for the division, partnering closely with operational leadership to drive accurate reporting and strategic financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the month-end close process for the division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards. Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and performance reporting for senior leadership. Collaborate with division and field leaders to interpret financial data, monitor budgets, and support decision-making. Supervise and mentor direct reports, fostering professional growth and team engagement. Review and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking for accuracy and efficiency. Provide actionable financial analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. Partner with operations to address budgetary concerns and explain financial concepts in a clear, relatable manner. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable accounting principles. Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and process improvements within the division. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. 8-15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior management responsibility. Proven experience overseeing the month-end close process and preparing complete financial statements. Strong financial analysis and budget management skills. Industry background in construction, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred. Experience managing P&L for a business unit or division with $85M-$100M in revenue, preferred. Proficiency with ERP systems; CMiC experience a plus. Skilled communicator with the ability to collaborate across functions and explain financial concepts to non-finance teams. Flexible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to adapt to established processes and company culture.
