This search is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who values purpose-driven work alongside operational excellence. The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls while supporting organizational leadership with timely financial insights. Key Responsibilities Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Manage annual audit activities and serve as liaison with external auditors Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies Improve processes and controls to support transparency and efficiency As Controller , you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and program stakeholders to support sustainable financial decision-making. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Prior experience in nonprofit or mission-based organizations preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills Advanced Excel and accounting system proficiency The Controller plays a critical role in aligning financial operations with organizational goals and long-term stability.
