The incumbent will serve at the pleasure of the Appointing\r\nAuthority.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n GRADE 26\r\n LOCATION OF POSITION Annapolis, MD\r\n POSITION DUTIES This position directs the entirety of the Compliance Division. In this role, the director will create and followthrough on strategic plans for the division that are in-line with the Deputy Comptroller and Comptroller'svisions while also ensuring that daily operations of the division are meeting various standards. The division\r\nis generally directed to drive compliance with State tax laws through enforcement and collection efforts.Efforts to drive compliance should be applied equitably to the public and should ensure that all tax typesand business sizes are proportionately impacted.\r\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalencycertificate.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience:\r\n\r\n\r\n Seven years of experience in banking, financial operations, treasury services, or a similar business environment.\r\n Three years in a senior leadership role\r\n Two years of experience with federal or state tax law and administration\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n** For education obtained outside of the U.S. you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalence evaluating members identified at DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \r\n\r\n Bachelors' or Masters' Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information systems, or arelated field. MBA Strongly preferred.\r\n Experience with CRM platform and knowledge of auditing/collections systems\r\n Experience working with softwaredevelopment processes related to financial operations\r\n Proven track record of managing high-volume, high-value transaction environments, with experiencemanaging audit processes and internal controls\r\n Strong people management and cross-functional leadership skills as well as strong communication skills\r\n Demonstrated ability to lead large operational teams and drive process improvements\r\n Excellent strategic thinking and crisis management capabilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n SELECTION PROCESS Please ensure you provide sufficient information on your application to demonstrate that you meet the qualifications for this recruitment.
