LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing, multi-entity organization is seeking a hands-on, strategic Finance Leader (flexible title: Controller, VP of Finance, or President) to oversee all financial operations across multiple operating entities. This role will lead accounting, financial reporting, WIP and project accounting, cash flow management, systems integration, and process improvement while supporting continued growth.
Job Description
Controller / VP of Finance / President (Title Flexible)
Location: Paoli, PA
Compensation: $125,000-$155,000 base salary + ~10% annual bonus
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations across multiple operating entities
- Lead month-end close, ensure general ledger integrity, and prepare entity-level and consolidated financial statements
- Manage WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and project accounting
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts
- Create and manage annual budgets and monitor budget-to-actual performance
- Provide financial insights to ownership and executive leadership
Systems & Process Optimization
- Standardize and integrate accounts payable processes across entities
- Oversee and optimize financial systems, including ERP, project management, and construction-related applications
- Implement improved accounting processes and support company-wide technology adoption
- Drive efficiencies and internal controls in a lean operating environment
Operational & Corporate Oversight
- Bring payroll operations under the holding company structure
- Oversee accounting for real estate and related entities, including tenant billing, rent, utilities, and taxes
- Support hiring and onboarding efforts as the organization scales, particularly within sales and operations
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop administrative and operational support staff
- Build and scale the accounting function, including future hiring of additional accounting personnel
- Establish structure, accountability, and best practices within the finance team
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and financial reporting background (CPA not required)
- Experience in multi-entity environments; construction, project-based, or equipment-related industries strongly preferred
- Hands-on leader comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial organization
- Experience with ERP, construction/project accounting, or equipment rental systems is a plus
- Proven ability to implement processes, systems, and scalable financial infrastructure
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with ownership and leadership
