Job Overview - Director of Finance - 34240
Our client, a growing and operationally complex manufacturing organization, is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance to lead critical accounting and finance functions while partnering closely with executive leadership across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive and analytical mindset, and the ability to think beyond day to day operations to support long term business strategy and operational efficiency. This position offers strong visibility across the business and long term growth potential within the finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, month end close, and accounting operations in accordance with US GAAP
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and support technical accounting, compliance, and internal controls initiatives
- Oversee treasury activities including cash forecasting, banking relationships, borrowing base reporting, and liquidity management
- Partner cross functionally to improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiencies, including automation opportunities within existing systems
- Monitor cash flow trends, borrowing activity, and working capital metrics while proactively identifying financial risks and operational impacts to the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally within a Big 4 or large regional firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, audit processes, treasury operations, and financial analysis
- Proven leadership experience with strong communication, problem solving, and process improvement capabilities
- Experience working within large ERP environments preferred
