Tax Associate

Tax Associate (1-3 Years Experience) Hybrid | Denver, CO (Greater Remote Flexibility Available) We are partnered with a small, boutique CPA firm in Denver, CO that is looking to add a Tax Associate to its growing team. This is not a traditional CPA firm environment -the firm values flexibility, collaboration, and sustainable workloads while providing high-quality tax and advisory services to its clients. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of public accounting experience who is looking to grow technically, gain client exposure, and build a long-term career within a supportive firm. What You'll Be Doing Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals and businesses, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S Support tax planning efforts for individuals and closely held businesses Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions, and support the tax process Assist with accounting and financial reporting tasks as needed (GL, reconciliations, financial statements) Work closely with senior accountants and leadership in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Continue developing technical tax skills while expanding client-facing experience What Our Client Is Looking For 1-3 years of experience in public accounting (tax-focused) Exposure to individual and business tax returns Comfortable communicating with clients and working in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines Interest in long-term growth within a CPA firm CPA-track or Master's in Accounting preferred (not required), Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Work Environment & Schedule Hybrid role based in Denver, CO, with the ability to work more remotely Average ~45 hours per week during tax season Boutique-firm culture with direct access to senior leadership Emphasis on mentorship, learning, and sustainable workloads Why This Opportunity Small, close-knit firm environment Broad exposure across tax and accounting work Clear growth path and professional development support Flexible work structure and modern firm mindset
