Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant & Tax Preparer to manage day-to-day accounting functions and prepare accurate individual and/or business tax returns. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and confident working with financial data in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual and business tax returns Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate bookkeeping records Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients or company operations Communicate with clients and/or internal teams regarding financial matters Support audits and respond to IRS or state notices as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 2 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation Strong knowledge of U.S. tax codes and filing requirements Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools Strong attention to detail and organizational skills CPA or EA designation (preferred but not required) Preferred Skills Experience with small business or individual tax clients Payroll and sales tax experience Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tax season Strong communication and client service skills
