Job Description
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, including budget and forecast variance analysis.
Maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold, including excess and obsolete inventory analysis.
Analyze manufacturing variances such as labor, overhead, efficiency, scrap, and rework, and partner with operations to improve performance.
Lead plant budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial modeling and insight to support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements and support internal and external audits.
Evaluate capital investments through ROI analysis, support CAPEX planning, and track project performance with plant leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, manufacturing finance, and month-end close.
Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit support.
ERP system experience required, with SAP strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, slicers, and data analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
Experience with reporting and financial tools such as Power BI, Longview, BOBJ, and Serrala is preferred; SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines.
