This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Assistant Controller to play a critical role in financial reporting, compliance, and operational support, while partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. About the Role The Assistant Controller will serve as a key contributor to the accounting function, supporting the Controller in overseeing financial operations, reporting accuracy, and process improvements. The ideal Assistant Controller brings a strong technical accounting foundation, leadership capability, and a proactive mindset. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, forecasts, and corporate reporting Prepare and analyze KPI dashboards, financial statements, and supporting schedules Oversee the month-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals Support annual audits and quarterly reviews, ensuring timely and accurate documentation Leverage ERP systems to drive financial and operational efficiency Assist with tax documentation and supporting schedules Partner with IT to maintain financial systems and data integrity Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance workflows Ensure strong internal controls, policies, and procedures are in place Manage fixed assets and capital expenditures (additions, disposals, depreciation) Supervise AR, AP, job costing/contracts, and general ledger activity Support percentage-of-completion accounting and project forecasting Prepare reporting for WIP, billings, collections, and contracts Lead ad hoc financial analyses and operational reporting Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required 7+ years of accounting experience (public accounting required; Big 4 preferred) CPA strongly preferred Construction or project-based accounting experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and leadership skills Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred) High level of integrity and attention to detail Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $135,000$165,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Company-paid life insurance and disability benefits 401(k) retirement plan Generous paid time off, including holidays and sick leave Employee Assistance Program If youre a driven Assistant Controller looking to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact and grow your career. #LI-BK1 #INMAY2026 #INJUN2026 EB-...
