What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for an NC ROOTS Senior Budget Analyst to join our team! The NC ROOTS Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for analysis, monitoring, and reporting related to the financial operations and budgeting of the NC ROOTS Hub. This role ensures that financial activities are accurate, compliant, transparent, and aligned with program performance and deliverables, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively and responsibly across the Hub. This role ensures that financial activities execution, accountability, and audit readiness.
*Recruitment for this position is being conducted in anticipation of program funding approval. The position is contingent upon receipt and continuation of funding through the NC Roots effective June 1, 2026. The organization reserves the right to delay hiring, modify, or withdraw the position based on funding status.
On a typical day, you might:
- Support the development of the regional hub budget, the strategy, and performance management program.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for forecasting, trending, and results analysis to support scenario planning, budget development, and decision-making processes.
- Monitor funds to ensure distribution according to contract terms; milestones and deliverables; and performance-based payment structures.
- Monitor sub-awardee spending to ensure compliance with related regulations, standards, and policies.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reports for leadership.
- Review and analyze financial information to identify trends, risks, and alignment with performance metrics.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience financial management, grants management, or accounting, including experience managing budgets and financial reporting; OR
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field and four (4) years of experience financial management, grants management, or accounting, including experience managing budgets and financial reporting; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field and two (2) years of experience financial management, grants management, or accounting, including experience managing budgets and financial reporting; OR
- Equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must reside within North Carolina.
Preferred:
- Experience managing budgets and financial reporting for complex programs.
- Experience with federal or state grant-funded programs (2 CFR 200).
- Experience in healthcare, public health, or community-based programs.
- Experience managing sub-award financial oversight.
