Your Role: The Senior Financial Analyst in our Discovery Solutions team at MilliporeSigma Life Science plays a key financial advisory role within the Chemistry Leadership Team, supporting operational and strategic decisions to achieve business goals in a complex, matrix environment. This role will report to the Head of Controlling - DS Chemistry. You will manage critical processes for financial planning and reporting that enable decision-making for the Chemistry Business Unit leaders. Supporting the Chemistry P&L is also part of your scope. Additionally, you will be part of financial integration of newly acquired business and support additional M&A efforts. Among your responsibilities will be to: Support Business Unit Portfolio Leaders and provide regular and ad hoc support to the Chemistry team on multiple financials areas: sales, gross margin, inventory, order intake, etc. Support the business by providing detailed insights on business performance into sales trends, price/volume, discounts, new product sales, profitability, and all financial KPIs that support achieving strategic and operational objectives. Provide transparency into business drivers, risks, and opportunities Preparation of rolling Forecast for sales, new product sales, price/volume, wCOGS, inventories, sales order analysis Proactively analyze profitability and discounting of certain product groups to discover any pricing irregularities and working with Portfolio leaders to address the findings Identify business trends and provide supportive analytics that drive and influence business performance and decisions that protect company's profitability Review business forecast inputs for accuracy and reasonableness Reassess key performance indicators (KPIs) for R D projects that align with Chemistry financial goals Help R D leaders to steer resources allocations based on viability and strategic alignment on New Product Introduction (NPI) to support the company's goals Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, forecasts, and operating plans for Sales, wCOGS and Gross Margin. Leverage digital reporting and visualization solutions to enhance business insights for modeling complex business case (TM1, Tableau, PowerBI, Uptimize Fondry, Excel, SAP, and others). Who you are: Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and controlling experience. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in accounting/finance with 3 years of relevant accounting and controlling experience supporting portfolio leaders, R D and Marketing organizations. Knowledge of M&A processes and Services revenue recognition experience highly preferred. A strong understanding and applying financial principles, practices, and standards, in a complex environment matrix organization, wide ERP landscape, worldwide scope of legal entities.
