About the role: We're partnering on a Tax Manager search with a large, publicly traded manufacturing organization seeking a tax professional with a strong compliance background to join its corporate tax team. What you'll own: Lead and review federal, state, and local income tax compliance processes across multiple entities Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax return preparation and filings Manage quarterly estimates, extensions, and tax payment requirements Support tax provision activities, including preparation and review of supporting schedules and reconciliations Research and analyze tax issues, legislative developments, and regulatory changes impacting the business Partner with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance with ASC 740 requirements Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from taxing authorities Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to tax controls and documentation Support special projects related to acquisitions, restructuring activities, and business initiatives as needed What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA strongly preferred 5+ years of progressive corporate tax or public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance requirements Familiarity with ASC 740 and income tax provision concepts Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills and experience with tax software and ERP systems Why consider it: Highly visible role within a well-established corporate tax function Exposure to complex multi-state and multi-entity tax matters Stable, financially strong organization with an exceptional reputation Collaborative culture with strong leadership and mentorship Competitive compensation, bonus opportunity, and excellent benefits Clear long-term career growth potential Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
