The Position: The Senior Financial Analyst provides consultative and strategic financial support to business leaders, including forecasting, planning, and insightful financial analytics. They are focused on the e-commerce, retail and marketing channels, providing timely models that help leaders better manage their business, improve financial performance, and meet annual financial and operating goals. They are a systems thinker who can connect financial outcomes to sales strategy and consumer insights. They have ownership of key performance indicators, profitability reporting and margin analysis, and are a key contributor to enterprise-wide financial budgeting and modeling. The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction VT roughly 2-3 days per month. Ideal candidates will be located within a 2-3-hour drive of our offices. The Pay: $88,500 to $119,500 annual salary; commensurate with experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze monthly financial results, distilling key trends, and communicating business insights Lead forecasting and financial reviews for e-commerce, retail, marketing, and selected administrative functions, serving as a finance partner to business leaders. Contribute to enterprise budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Partner with cross functional teams to support data-driven decision making through ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling Designs, maintains and evaluates reporting for product and customer profitability and margin analysis Actively contributes to building payroll analysis, including reports, scorecards and databases related to HR and compensation Work with internal teams to lead financial evaluation of retail expansion opportunities, capital return on investment and other direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategic opportunities Designs and executes regular company-wide analyses to high level, using monthly performance analytics vs. budget, forecast and prior year Support special projects as assigned by management and senior leadership This should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities. Experience and Education Degree in business, accounting, or finance 5+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting field with progressive responsibility in financial planning and analysis, preferably in e-commerce or retail Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Proficient with advanced analytics tools - Data Cubes, MS Power BI, Tableau, SQL Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA preferred), with an emphasis on ability to extract, analyze, and communicate financial information. Demonstrated track record of leading complex financial analyses through to completion, manage multiple deliverables and consistently meet deadlines. Proven ability to lead complex projects end-to-end, frame ambiguous problems, and deliver clear, actionable insights. Technical system and database acumen: Demonstrated experience and expertise in automated Procure to Pay and Plannings systems - ERP, MRP, EDI/API, Forecasting (SAP S/4HANA preferred). Working knowledge of SAP S4/Hana, and experience in advanced analytics tools including Data Cubes and MS Power BI. Drives accountability: Able to effectively set clear expectations, define and articulate success milestones and metrics, and manage performance to the desired outcome while empowering and coaching others.
