Job Description, Crowell & Moring is seeking a Government Contracts Associate to join our Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of law firm experience in government contracts law. Candidates should have significant experience advising clients on a broad range of government contracts matters, with a particular emphasis on compliance, risk assessments, supply chain issues, investigations, and mandatory and voluntary disclosures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable counseling clients on complex regulatory and contractual issues, assisting with internal reviews and investigations, assessing compliance and performance risks, and helping clients navigate disclosure obligations and other sensitive government-facing matters. The role includes advising clients across the government contracts lifecycle, conducting legal research and analysis involving federal procurement laws and regulations, and drafting memoranda, analyses, disclosures, and other client-facing work product. The ideal candidate excels in client-facing and government-facing situations and there are multiple opportunities to interact directly with clients and key government stakeholders. The associate will work closely with partners and colleagues on sophisticated matters and will be expected to contribute strategically to client service and matter development. All candidates should have excellent academic and professional credentials, as well as highly developed analytical, communication, writing skills, and a passion for excellent client service.
