Senior Federal Tax Accountant Senior Federal Tax Accountants work on a wide range of activities. This is a supportive team who works well together to review Federal and State taxes as well as own the tax provision and tax compliance preparation. Youll also respond to tax notices, interact with auditors and third-party consultants, and forecast estimated quarterly taxes. This is an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of the business. This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our clients Frisco, TX office on an as-needed basis. We will only consider candidates who are within a commutable distance to Frisco or Dallas and are not offering relocation assistance at this time. About The Role Review Federal and State compliance filings prepared by third-party preparers Review, prepare, and evaluate Federal M adjustments, including impact on State tax provision Review and prepare state and local tax modifications, multi-state allocations, and apportionment for use in tax provisions and compliance Review and prepare Federal and State tax reconciliations Review and prepare Federal and State quarterly estimates including partnership withholding Assist with the resolution of Federal and State tax notices Assist with Federal and State income tax research analysis Assist with monitoring for changes in legislation and other regulatory developments Update monthly tax compliance calendars as required to maintain accuracy Communicate with team members and outside consultants on tax related matters Monitor centralized state email to ensure timely response to inbound requests Assist with implementation of process improvements and data automation Assist other team members as required About You At least 4 years (wed love more!) relevant federal and state tax experience in public accounting and/or industry BA/BS/BBA degree in Accounting or related field preferred; advanced degree in Accounting or Tax a plus Active CPA license highly preferred High level knowledge of all areas of tax (federal, state, local, and tax accounting) required Experience with partnership and corporate structures Experience in OneSource OTP and/or Alteryx preferred Experience with Workday or SAP preferred Advanced Excel; proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF documents Excellent analytical skills; solid organizational skills Focused attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately Strong sense of ownership and urgency Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; able to offer and ask for help when needed Client Overview Our client is a leader in personal security for consumers.
