Job Title: Operations and Inventory Senior Financial Analyst Summary: The Operations and Inventory Senior Financial Analyst is a plant-focused operational finance/business partner supporting a manufacturing facility. The position blends financial analysis, accounting, and strategic partnership to drive performance and decision-making. Financial Partnership: Proactively engage as a financial partner for the Hartford manufacturing plant, supply chain, and SIOP. Act as key business ops partner to non-financial teams on-site. Execute key analyses on current business challenges and present concise, executive summaries to senior leadership. Confidently assist external audit and internal compliance reviews by fully owning the operations and inventory management reporting. Analysis and Reporting: Play a key role on US accounting team by successfully and efficiently conducting monthly close processes - journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial bridging through storytelling and understanding the big picture. Ensure alignment to U.S. GAAP and SOX Controls. Conduct monthly calculations and analyses of financial P&L, B/S, and KPI performance metrics, providing valuable insights and recommendations for capitalization of opportunities and avoidance of potetial risk. Provide clear and concise monthly financial summaries through financial bridging and operations reports, empowering teams to make informed decisions. These may include but are not limited to temp labor, overtime, productivity, efficiency, scrap, absorption, tariffs, and inventory. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department partners to develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts. Assure that stakeholders have a full understanding and ownership of their financial numbers. Present full gross margin forecast detail and analysis to senior management, with support to justify future planning and recommendations to maximize business performance. Project Involvement: Contribute to various ops and efficiency projects as assigned by your manager, showcasing your adaptability and versatility. Maintain a continuous mindset in regards to efficiency and accuracy of tasks. Leverage AI to reduce manual work, eliminate risk of error, and increase value-add reporting. Perform annual standard cost roll and maintain SKU costing information throughout the year. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must be analytical, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-motivated, take initiative, have strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. 3-5 years of experience in accounting and operational finance. Strong background in cost accounting, operations reporting, and month-end close, with on-site experience at a manufacturing plant. Strong familiarity of U.S. GAAP and SOX Controls. Analytical skills to decipher complex data and present actionable insights. Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment and changing priorities. Excellent communication and people skills. Proficient in ERP systems, Financial Reporting, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
