Interim Controller (8-Week Engagement) - Salt Lake City/Provo Area (On-Site)

Our client, a private equity-backed franchising organization in the Salt Lake City/Provo area, is seeking an experienced Interim Controller for an approximately eight-week on-site engagement. This role will partner closely with the CFO to oversee the monthly close process, ensure financial accuracy and reporting integrity, and provide hands-on accounting leadership during a critical period. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have prior experience supporting PE-backed or multi-entity organizations. NetSuite experience is highly preferred.

Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheet schedules, and supporting documentation

Partner directly with the CFO on financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc accounting projects

Ensure accuracy andpleteness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Assist with cash flow monitoring, accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations

Identify and implement process improvements related to accounting operations and close procedures

Support franchise and multi-entity accounting activities within a fast-paced PE-backed environment

Utilize NetSuite ERP to manage accounting functions, reporting, and financial data integrity (strongly preferred)
