About the Opportunity
Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliation
- Manage the end-to-end process for intercompany transactions, including billing, allocations, eliminations, and settlements.
- Prepare and review monthly intercompany reconciliations across multiple legal entities and currencies.
- Ensure intercompany balances are properly recorded and eliminated during consolidation.
- Partner with local entity accountants to investigate and resolve mismatches and timing differences.
- Maintain and improve standardized intercompany procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to intercompany accounting.
- Provide analytical insights on intercompany trends, variances, and reconciliations for management reporting.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, schedules, and audit support related to intercompany accounts.
- Contribute to foreign exchange analysis and revaluation of intercompany balances.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate intercompany processes and reconciliations.
- Participate in ERP and consolidation system enhancements (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Hyperion, OneStream).
- Support internal control reviews and ensure adherence to SOX or equivalent compliance frameworks.
- Assist in implementing consistent accounting policies across entities to strengthen accuracy and transparency.
- Collaborate with tax, treasury, FP&A, and regional accounting teams to align on intercompany policies and transactions.
- Provide training or guidance to junior accountants on intercompany accounting procedures.
- Support ad-hoc projects such as reorganizations, mergers, or system integrations affecting intercompany activity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA or working toward designation preferred).
- Experience: 47 years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience, including intercompany transactions or consolidation in a multi-entity environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IFRS or US GAAP accounting principles
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Hyperion, OneStream)
- Advanced Excel and data reconciliation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
$45.00 / Hour
