POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Treasury Management Sales Officer enhances the quality of life for members and team members by consistently following and demonstrating the WEST service model, delivering service that meets or exceeds expectations. The role plays a key role in enhancing the financial well-being of business members by delivering sophisticated treasury management solutions and driving deposit and fee income growth. This position supports complex business, municipal, and nonprofit clients through tailored strategies that optimize cash flow, liquidity, and operational efficiency. The Senior Treasury Management Sales Officer serves as a strategic partner, driving high-value outcomes while supporting member success and organizational growth.
Responsible for leading treasury management production, developing customized solutions, and managing competitive RFP responses for municipalities and large organizations. The Senior Treasury Management Sales Officer partners closely with Business Services, Commercial Lending, and Operations to design and deliver comprehensive cash management strategies, including analysis accounts, earnings credit structures, and relationship-based pricing.
This position evaluates client needs, identifies opportunities to deepen relationships, and ensures alignment with the Credit Union’s strategic objectives and balance sheet goals. Through strong collaboration and execution, the role helps deliver a seamless, high-quality member experience across all touchpoints. Success in this position requires advanced knowledge of treasury management products, strong consultative sales skills, and the ability to navigate complex client relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Treasury Management Sales & Production - Drive production of treasury management services including ACH, wires, RDC, Positive Pay, and other solutions. Develop and manage a strong pipeline of business, municipal, and nonprofit clients.
•Complex Solution Design - Design customized treasury management solutions based on client cash flow needs, deposit structures, and operational requirements. Incorporate analysis accounts, earnings credit rate (ECR) structures, and offset strategies.
•Municipal & Large Client RFP Management - Lead and support responses to RFPs for municipalities and large nonprofits. Coordinate across internal stakeholders to deliver competitive and compliant proposals.
•Pricing & Profitability Analysis - Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability. Analyze account activity, fee structures, and earnings credits to ensure appropriate returns.
•Cross-Functional Partnership - Partner with Sales, Lending, Operations, and Compliance to ensure seamless onboarding and servicing of complex clients. Support integration of treasury services into broader relationship strategies.
•Market & Industry Expertise - Maintain deep knowledge of treasury management trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory considerations. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
•Client Relationship Management - Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering ongoing support and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships.
•Technology & Innovation - Effectively use digital tools, automation, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support operational efficiency and member service. Exercise sound judgment by reviewing technology-generated outputs for accuracy, protecting sensitive information, and adhering to all organizational security and compliance policies.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
7+ years of treasury management, commercial banking, or related experience. Demonstrated experience working with municipalities, nonprofits, and complex commercial clients. Strong experience with RFP responses and analysis account structures preferred.
