Interim CFO

Vaco has partnered with a growing construction company in search of an experienced Interim CFO to support finance and accounting operations during a leadership transition. This role will provide hands-on financial leadership as the organization continues to scale. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction industry experience and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Interim CFO
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $100 - $125 per hour
Project Duration: 5+ months (potential contract-to-hire)
Start Date: ASAP (ideally 6/4)

Responsibilities Include:

• Report directly to executive leadership across all finance and accounting functions

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting team

• Evaluate and enhance workflows with a focus on process improvement

• Lead month-end close, cash management, and management reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a CFO or senior finance leadership role

• Construction industry required
