Vice President of Finance Omnichannel Retail

The Vice President of Finance is a strategic business partner responsible for leading all aspects of financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management across a rapidly growing omnichannel retail organization. This executive leader will drive enterprise-wide financial strategy and provide actionable insights to support profitable growth across stores, e-commerce, marketplaces, fulfillment operations, merchandising, and corporate functions.

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience within retail environments, strong financial leadership capabilities, and a proven track record supporting complex omnichannel operations. This role will collaborate closely with executive leadership to optimize revenue growth, margin expansion, inventory productivity, customer acquisition investments, and capital allocation decisions.

Compensation $250-265K + Bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership team to develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy.
  • Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes across the enterprise.
  • Provide financial leadership and recommendations regarding growth initiatives, investments, capital expenditures, and strategic projects.
  • Translate operational and commercial strategies into measurable financial outcomes.
  • Lead all enterprise FP&A activities, including monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and multi-year strategic planning.
  • Develop executive-level reporting packages, board presentations, KPI dashboards, and financial performance reviews.
  • Deliver actionable insights regarding sales, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, and cash flow performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy and planning processes.
  • Omnichannel Retail Finance
  • Support financial performance across retail stores, e-commerce, mobile commerce, third-party marketplaces, and emerging sales channels.
  • Analyze channel profitability, customer acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, digital marketing ROI, conversion metrics, and customer retention trends.
  • Partner with merchandising teams to optimize pricing, promotions, markdowns, assortment strategies, and category profitability.
  • Evaluate fulfillment economics, shipping costs, returns management, and omnichannel customer experience initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory planning analytics, inventory productivity, turns, aging, and working capital management.
  • Partner with supply chain leadership to improve distribution center performance, logistics costs, freight management, and inventory availability.
  • Develop financial models supporting sourcing decisions, vendor negotiations, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory investments and provide recommendations to maximize profitability while minimizing risk.
  • Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology, and Human Resources leadership teams.
  • Support business leaders with financial analysis, decision support, and performance management tools.
  • Drive accountability through KPI development and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on operational efficiency and profitability improvement.
  • Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and analytical rigor.
  • Lead talent development, succession planning, and organizational growth initiatives within the finance function.
  • Promote best practices in financial modeling, reporting, and business analysis.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • 5+ years leading finance teams within a retail, omnichannel, consumer products, or multi-location environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, merchandising economics, and customer profitability metrics.
