In this position...
- You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, accounting, and reporting activities related to the product development organizations engineering for vehicle programs and Ford Performance.
What you'll do...
Support monthly accounting for engineering business activities
Provide monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying key trends and drivers impacting financial performance
Develop and maintain physicals-based financial forecasts for one or more engineering functional organizations, incorporating input from various key stakeholders
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
Present financial results to the organizational leadership teams, providing insights and recommendations
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to key stakeholders
Monitor and control engineering spending against budget, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
Review and approve capital project requests, purchase requisitions, and other spending requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the Product Development organization
Provide financial and business support to engineering teams by closely collaborating with key stakeholders, including Business Offices, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
Collaborate to develop business cases and optimize how work is done
Partner with supply chain and transformation teams to help negotiate favorable contracts with external vendors
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering financial management
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant regulations
Develop and maintain documentation of key financial processes
You'll have...
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience with job responsibilities focused on finance and accounting and operations support
Extensive skill with Excel and other MS Office tools
Strong understanding of product development financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management and capital investment analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Ability to manage multiple workstreams at the same time, including quick turnaround times
Technical aptitude or experience with SAP, Essbase, PowerBI, PowerQuery, or other similar tools

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $56,400-$94,900.
This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
