As a Financial Analyst II, you’ll help drive strategic and operational decision-making through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. In this role, you’ll partner closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, build forecasts, and provide actionable insights that support organizational goals.

This is a highly collaborative role where your analytical skills and business acumen will make a direct impact across the organization. You’ll work independently on routine and moderately complex financial analyses, help develop reporting and forecasting tools, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial visibility and operational effectiveness.

What Will I Do? Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and business case analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of operational initiatives, capital investments, and strategic projects.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare recurring financial, operational, and management reports.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Analyze sales, labor, margin, expense, inventory, productivity, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and data.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve efficiency.
Business Partnership
  • Partner with operational leaders to better understand business drivers and financial results.
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects requiring financial analysis and support.
Budget Management
  • Monitor budget performance and communicate significant variances to leadership.
  • Support expense management and financial accountability across assigned business areas.
  • Analyze trends and assumptions used throughout forecasting and planning processes.
Process Improvement
  • Recommend and support improvements to financial reporting and planning processes.
  • Support implementation and optimization of financial systems, reporting tools, and data solutions.
  • Maintain documentation related to financial models, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies.
  • Assist with audits, financial reviews, and ad hoc analysis requests as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications of the Financial Analyst II Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or related financial disciplines.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and analyses.
  • Experience utilizing financial systems, advanced spreadsheet applications, and Power BI preferred.
Skills of the Financial Analyst II
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, budgeting, and financial planning concepts.
  • Ability to develop financial models and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
Technology & Computer Skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting systems.
Additional Information
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to business locations on a limited basis as needed.
  • This role operates in a fast-paced office environment with occasional local and regional travel.

USD $63,000.00 - USD $99,000.00 /Yr.
