Job Summary:

This position coordinates and administers financial aid for students enrolled at Tarrant County College?s (TCC) Connect campus. This role ensures compliance with Federal, State, and institutional financial aid regulations while advising students on financial aid programs, eligibility, and processes, and providing guidance and resolution support for complex financial aid situations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
? Serves as liaison for students, faculty, and staff at Connect, Trinity River, and Trinity River Campus East (TRCE) regarding financial aid programs, processes, and services
? Promotes financial aid awareness and participation through outreach initiatives, workshops, informational sessions, and presentations
? Collaborates with the Student Financial Aid office to support TCC Connect online financial aid operations, international financial aid reporting, which includes enrollment, awarding, and disbursement reporting, and reviews and processes required student documentation
? Conducts elevated reviews of unique financial aid circumstances in accordance with Federal regulations and institutional guidelines
? Reviews, evaluates, and monitors Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals to ensure compliance with Federal and institutional requirements
? Serves as the primary point of contact for financial aid communications through email, chat, and phone, providing guidance on financial aid policies, procedures, and student concerns

Service Excellence
? Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
? Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
? Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
? Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree and three (3) years? working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

? Master?s degree
? At least one (1) year?s professional working experience using Ellucian Colleague enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform
? At least one (1) year?s professional working experience within student development programs
? At least one (1) year?s professional working experience within a multi-campus higher education environment
? At least one (1) year?s professional working experience with eLearning (online education) and dual credit students
? National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) earned credentials or NASFAA Financial Aid Administrator Certification (FAAC)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Knowledge of higher education financial aid operations and Title IV federal student aid programs, including regulatory requirements, compliance standards, eligibility determination, and program administration best practices
? Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
? Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform
? Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
? Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders
? Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
? Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
? Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and accurately while effectively managing time, supporting resources, and stakeholders
? Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectively with faculty and staff to support campus and departmental operations
? Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
