Controller

The right candidate will have a can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing or performing all accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Payroll, QC Enterprise accounting software, banking and cash flow, monthly / annual financial statements, and other internal and external reports).
• Responsible for managing accounting and office management staff members.
• Responsible for various Office Management areas such as: Human Resources, Benefits Management, Computer/Telecom and other areas as needed.
• Responsible for Environmental and Regulatory compliance and reporting.
• Oversee year-end and month-end inventory and reconciling.
• Prepare journal entries to record daily and monthly financial transactions.

Education

• College degree in Accounting or other related business major

Work Experience

• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting job experience. Experience with small / medium manufacturing companies and strong Cost Accounting knowledge and experience is preferred.

Skills

• Supervisor of accounting staff members; strong communication abilities with managers and employees across the company; motivated self-started; identification and implementation of work improvement initiatives.
• Possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Train, supervise and evaluate department staff.

Reports To

• Position reports directly to the President of the company.
