Job Summary

Responsible for financial leadership, support and direction of the finance team focused on Acute Care Divisions. Collaborates and works with many levels of management. Develops and implements internal control policies and procedures to ensure proper internal control and compliance, and analyze data and implement efficiencies, process improvements and best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in development, implementation and leading the annual budgeting process for Acute Care Divisions.
  • Assists with development of deep physician practice analytics that illustrates the holistic financial impact of various physician practice strategies on the medical group.
  • Assists in identification and development process improvement opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction and growth initiatives.
  • Develops and communicates financial key indicators to support achievement of goals.
  • Prepares complex analysis, due diligence and pro forma preparation for large transactions to include impact and scenarios that include physician practice, ambulatory centers and outpatient locations as well as downstream impact.
  • Manages the staff providing physician compensation calculations, modeling and projections.
  • Manages the staff providing analytical support, due diligence, pro forma preparation and projections for new/proposed initiatives, practice expansion, equipment, service expansion and closings and vendor negotiations.
  • Assesses and improves the departments performance by designing operational processes, monitoring performance through data, analyzing the data, implementing sustainable performance improvement, and participating in multi-disciplinary inter-departmental PI activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have two or more direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or MHA preferred.
  • Experience F ive (5) years of experience in various accounting/finance functions including supervisory responsibilities
