Job Title: Finance and Accounting Manager

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: In-person - Kirkland, WA 98034
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift (No weekends)

Position Summary

A growing construction company specializing in both commercial and select residential projects is seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to lead financial operations. This role involves full-cycle accounting, job cost tracking, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in a dynamic environment where collaboration with field personnel, project managers, and leadership is key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, customer billing, and job costing.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to drive profitability.

  • Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to protect company assets.

  • Monitor cash flow, manage banking transactions, and assess financial health.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Assist with job costing, project financial analysis, and WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting.

  • Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights and recommendations.

  • Liaise with external CPA, auditors, and financial institutions.

  • Communicate effectively with internal staff, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (construction industry experience highly preferred).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Procore, or similar systems).

  • Strong knowledge of construction financial management practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
