Senior Collections Specialist

Our client, a leading provider in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to join their team. As a Senior Collections Specialist, you will be part of the Collections Department supporting the Accounts Receivable team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a knack for problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Collections Specialist

Location: Downers Grove, Illinois (hybrid -in office 6 times a month)
Job Type: 6-month contract with the potential to convert to FTE
Pay Range: $24-30/hr.

What's the Job?

• Manage commercial collections for a portfolio in the millions, ensuring timely payments and resolution of disputes.
• Perform account reconciliations and clean-up, addressing unaddressed past dues and mismatched purchase orders.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to support collections efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate complex business processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Leverage experience with Coupa and Maximo to streamline collections and reconciliation processes.

What's Needed?

• 5 + years of experience in commercial collections, particularly with large accounts in a B2B environment.
• Proficient in Excel, with a minimum requirement of intermediate skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong account reconciliation skills, with experience in matching line items on purchase orders to invoices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably D365, and experience with Coupa is Required
• Expereicne with Maximo is a significant advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service and problem resolution.
