Manager Treasury Operations
We are looking to hire someone to work in our Columbus, Ohio office on a hybrid schedule (2 days a week in office, moving to 3 days a week in office in September)
Job Summary
The Manager of Treasury Operations is responsible for ensuring appropriate policies, systems, procedures, controls, and staff are in place to meet the company's daily liquidity needs. Key responsibilities include managing short-term debt and investments in conjunction with the company's financing strategies, managing relationships with treasury management banks and commercial paper dealers, and monitoring economic factors and market trends to recommend actions to the Assistant Treasurer.
Essential Functions
Manage daily operational liquidity by determining the net cash position of all company bank accounts and working with commercial paper dealers to raise needed funds or making arrangements to pay down debt with excess funds.
Provide information related to short-term debt and long-term debt instruments to accounting for the monthly close process.
Service long-term debt instruments by ensuring that principal and interest are paid on time and overseeing quarterly compliance activities.
Coordinate cross-functionally to establish and maintain a rolling 52-week liquidity forecast, which is provided to the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to inform financing decisions.
Prepare periodic reports to various finance teams on long-term debt, short-term debt, interest rates, interest expense, and cash flow.
Govern and enforce cash management policies and best practices that maximize available cash and reduce risks.
Oversee the company's cash management including but not limited to debt management, short-term investments, daily operations, bank account management, treasury management system, and bank portal administration in compliance with controls.
Manage relationships with investment bankers, commercial paper dealers, and cash management service providers.
Oversee money pool administration and facilitate intercompany funding protocols.
Support cash related inquiries for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory data requests.
Provide support to the corporate finance team with financing inputs for annual and strategic financial plans.
Forecast the company's credit facility exposure including administration of all corporate letters of credit and corporate guarantees.
Support deal related activities for capital markets transactions.
Review and update key controls, flowcharts, and procedures.
Initiate more efficient and effective processes for treasury and related departments including alternatives to reduce bank fees.
Implement disaster recovery and emergency preparedness policies, documentation, and support drills to mitigate operational risk.
Provide consulting and analytical support to the company for cash related projects.
Lead, develop, and empower a team of analysts while building a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications for Position
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics
At least 5 years of treasury management experience demonstrating progression in skills and responsibilities with fundamental knowledge of cash management and banking practices.
Experience forecasting enterprise-wide cash flows.
Commercial paper issuance experience.
Experience in translating regulatory impacts on cash pool structures.
Ability to work independently with emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness, security, and confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks under pressure.
Plan, organize, and maximize available resources to meet company goals.
Analyze, develop, revise, and improve upon treasury procedures, processes, and technology.
Proofread, understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and regulations to specific cash pool arrangements and capital markets transactions.
Respond to data and information requests to meet regulatory commission inquires.
Prepare accurate financial reports.
Conduct studies, analyze data, draw sound conclusions from data, and prepare reports of findings and recommendations.
Ability to make accurate mathematical and statistical computations.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and treasury workstations.
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Master's degree in business or finance
Fortune 500 experience
GTreasury treasury workstation and configuration experience
Utility experience
Money pool experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Certified Treasury Professional

Salary Range*:
$129,500.00 - $194,300.00*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidates skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience , as well as internal pay equity .
