The VP of Finance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including the preparation of financial statements, month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP or IFRS. This role involves leading budgeting and forecasting efforts, monitoring financial performance, and providing variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the position ensures strong internal controls are in place to safeguard assets and maintain compliance with financial regulations. The VP of Finance also manages tax planning and compliance, including sales, payroll, and corporate taxes, while staying current with evolving tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation/analysis of financial statements.
+ Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts to support strategic decision-making.
+ Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis.
+ Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS and maintain strong internal controls.
+ Manage tax planning and compliance, including sales, payroll, and corporate taxes.
+ Stay current with evolving tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Experience overseeing the month-end close process for over 10 years, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation/analysis.
+ 10+ years of experience in budgeting and forecasting.
+ 5+ years of experience in cost accounting/inventory management.
+ 5+ years of treasury management experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in filing tax returns.
+ 5+ years of experience implementing internal controls.
+ Proficiency in creating pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.
+ Proficiency within a large scale ERP such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, Info.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Treasury management skills.
+ Tax management experience.
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
+ Experience working within the manufacturing industry from 2023 or later.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position that can be based in Belleville, PA or Columbus, Ohio. The candidate will be expected to travel to the other site for about one week each month over the first 6-12 months to become familiar with the site and processes. Additional travel may be required to ensure site control and process implementation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
