(Path to CFO) Minnesota-Based Company

A growing, entrepreneurial business with multiple entities and investment properties is seeking a Financial Controller with the vision and leadership to grow into a CFO role . With over $40M in combined annual revenue, were looking for a strategic thinker ready to help scale operations and drive financial performance.

What Youll Do:

• Lead all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting

• Oversee accounting operations including AR/AP, GL, and job costing

• Drive process automation, financial analysis, and KPI tracking

• Guide monthly/quarterly close and reporting cycles

• Manage and mentor a small accounting team

• Work directly with ownership on strategic financial planning

Who You Are:

• A hands-on leader with 5+ years in a Controller or similar role

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and improving systems

• Proficient in GAAP, job/WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting

• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Skilled in Sage and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

• Able to travel periodically to the Twin Cities

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
