Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, publicly traded organization to identify a Tax Analyst to support its corporate tax function. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to gain exposure to public company tax operations, compliance, and reporting within a collaborative finance environment.
This role will work closely with internal finance teams and external advisors, contributing to key tax processes including income tax provisions, compliance filings, and indirect tax support.
Key Responsibilities
Support the coordination and preparation of federal, state, and local tax compliance filings in partnership with external advisors
Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision processes, including data gathering, variance analysis, and documentation
Contribute to ASC 740 calculations and supporting schedules, including deferred taxes and effective tax rate components
Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audit requests related to tax matters
Maintain and update tax schedules, including fixed asset tax records and state apportionment data
Assist with sales and use tax, gross receipts, and other indirect tax filings and related inquiries
Support tracking and compliance for property tax filings, including real estate and personal property renditions
Aid in monitoring and maintaining SOX compliance for tax-related processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and other teams to gather and validate financial data
Utilize tax and accounting systems to help improve efficiency and streamline processes
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the tax function
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
1-3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or audit (public accounting or corporate environment preferred)
Foundational understanding of U.S. federal income tax concepts; exposure to state and local tax is a plus
Familiarity with ASC 740 or public company reporting is advantageous but not required
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and strong Excel skills
CPA eligibility or progress toward certification is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and documentation quality
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with solid organizational and problem-solving abilities
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
