We are seeking applicants for an Interim Controller role with an excellent Winston-Salem based company. This need is in response to a transition and experience with mergers and acquisitions is highly preferred. We're looking for an experienced Interim Controller to step in during a period of change and help keep the accounting function running smoothly-especially through a merger or acquisition. This role is handson and fastpaced, focused on stabilizing daytoday accounting while helping integrate people, processes, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daytoday accounting operations, including general ledger and monthend close
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Lead accounting integration efforts for mergers or acquisitions
Align accounting policies, procedures, and controls across entities
Support purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, and postclose adjustments
Coordinate with auditors, advisors, and internal stakeholders
Strengthen internal controls and document processes during transition
Guide and support the accounting team through change
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controllerlevel work
Proven merger or acquisition integration experience
Strong GAAP knowledge and close management experience
ERP or financial system integration experience
Ability to step in quickly, assess issues, and drive solutions

Pay Details: $50.00 to $58.00 per hour
