Manufacturing Controller

Controller If you're the kind of finance professional who prefers being close to the business rather than sitting behind a spreadsheet all day, this could be a strong fit. We're working with a mid-sized manufacturing company that operates across several locations and is looking to bring in a Controller to help connect the dots between operations and financial performance. This isn't a "report and step back" type of role-you'll be actively involved in understanding what's driving the numbers and helping leaders make better decisions because of it. You'll spend time partnering directly with plant leadership, digging into cost structure, and making sure the financial story matches what's happening on the floor. What the role looks like in practice Instead of owning just one location, you'll have visibility across multiple sites. Each plant operates a little differently, so part of your role will be bringing consistency-without losing sight of what makes each operation work. You'll be involved in the full close process, making sure everything ties out, but just as importantly, you'll be explaining why the numbers moved. Leadership will rely on you to translate financial results into something actionable. On the costing side, you'll stay close to how products are built-tracking labor, materials, and overhead, and identifying where things are running efficiently versus where there's opportunity to improve. Inventory is also a big piece here, so you'll help ensure controls are tight and that the numbers accurately reflect what's on hand.
