The Role

We are looking for a talented Junior Business Analyst to join our team. In this corporate, hybrid position, you will occupy a highly fluid role within the Treasury & Shared Services Business Process & Special Projects team. Your focus will center on two key areas: (1) supporting the Senior Business Analyst in driving efficiency and standardization across multiple departmentsincluding Collections, Cash Applications, CDE, and Billing, and (2) acting as the primary administrator for the organization's credit card portfolio and merchant services program. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously, has a strong desire to learn, and demonstrates long-term potential to independently manage initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping: Utilize process mapping techniques to document current-state and future-state processes and systems, and coordinate workshop sessions with appropriate teams to gather feedback and achieve alignment.

  • Project Support & Ownership: Support enterprise and department-led initiatives by representing Order-to-Cash (O2C) streams under the supervision of the Senior Business Analyst. Independently lead minor initiatives to upgrade existing systems or features.

  • Requirements Gathering: Independently and collaboratively gather, analyze, and document business requirements with clear acceptance criteria to facilitate development.

  • Testing & Audit Support: Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for process or system changes, identifying and documenting gaps while providing audit support as needed.

  • Change Management: Draft and maintain preliminary training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and communication materials to educate internal departments on upcoming changes.

  • Portfolio Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate, organized records of the businesss credit card portfolio, terminal equipment, and meeting documentation. Produce detailed monthly reporting and analysis on credit card fees and sales.

  • Logistics & Support: Facilitate and document credit card terminal deployments, swap replacements, and cancellations.

  • Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact to answer inquiries and resolve issues related to credit card accounts, terminals, deposits, and other ad-hoc merchant inquiries.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate and document timely, cross-functional communications between internal and external stakeholders.

What Were Looking For

  • Experience: Experience within Finance and/or Order-to-Cash (O2C) streams is preferred. Progressive experience working autonomously, taking initiative, and adapting easily to daily challenges in a high-volume environment.

  • Education: Post-Secondary Education in Business, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as Google Suite. Experience with process mapping software such as LucidChart or Visio is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, sharp problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex processes and data. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple viewpoints. Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.

  • Working Conditions: Primarily situated in an professional office environment.
