Job Description

The Director of Financial Aid provides strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and regulatory compliance for all financial aid programs across Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College. The role ensures equitable access to financial resources, supports student success and retention, and upholds federal, state, and institutional financial aid requirements. Key responsibilities include enrollment management, student advocacy, and cross-campus collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the financial aid office budget and staffing.
  • Develop, recommend, administer, and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Title IV, state, and local financial aid laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with constituents in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Analyze data and trends to improve processes and services.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in student financial aid administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective supervision and leadership, including directing and supporting staff.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with constituents in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Knowledge of current federal TitleIV, state, and local financial aid laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Oral and written communication skills to effectively explain financial regulations and develop, recommend, administer and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Experience with current financial aid computing and data processing management systems (NSLDS, COD, and/or CPS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Student Affairs or related field.
  • Experience using database software such as Integrated Student Record System (ISRS) or similar system.
  • Experience with Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment, Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) reporting, and Federal Student Aid (FSA) software or similar software.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering data and analyzing trends to improve processes and services.
